Siddu Nayak bags five wickets to help Imperial restrict Charminar to 397 in B Division final

Imperial’s Siddu Nayak bagged five wickets to restrict Charminar in the final of the HCA’s B Division (two-day) League Championship.

Batting first, Charminar made a competitive 397 in 71 overs with half-centuries from Sahil Singh, G Sankeerth, Aditya Singh Rathore and Ujjwal Yadav.

Sahil Singh topscored with 84, while G Sankeerth scored 80. Aditya Singh Rathore made 57 and Ujjwal Yadav got 53. Asad Ahmed chipped in with a useful 32.

Siddu Nayak was the most successful bowler for Imperial as he ended up with figures of 15-0-83-5.

In reply, Imperial were 33 for no loss in seven overs at stumps.

Harikrishna slams ton, sets up LIC’s 16-run win

B Hari Krishna slammed a century to set up LIC’s 16-run win over CCMB in the HCA Division (Institution) one-day League Championship.

Hari Krishna made 148 off just 61 balls with 15 fours and 11 sixes as LIC ran up 232 in 24.4 overs. In reply, CCMB fought valiantly but were restricted to 216 for four with B Manash Kumar scoring 63.

In another match G Srinivas Rao took four for 10 to help Canara Bank score a six-wicket win over Central Bank of India.

Elsewhere, Vidyuth Soudha notched up a three-wicket win over RBI.

Brief scores: RBI 120 in 21.1 overs (B Prasanna Kumar 3/24, K Vijay 3/23) lost to Vidyuth Soudha 121/7 in 24 overs (V Srujan 39, Amol Raut 4/15).

Central Bank of India 52 in 16 overs (G Srinivas Rao 4/10) lost to Canara Bank 55/4 in 9.3 overs.

LIC 232 in 24.4 overs (B Hari Krishna 148; Shiv Pratap 3/34) beat CCMB 216/4 in 25 overs (B Manash Kumar 63, Nitesh Kumar Singh 39no).
