Madhusudhan achieves a hat-trick of titles at ITF World Masters Tour tennis tournament

Muralidhar Madhusudhan Linga reigned supreme as he secured a hat-trick of titles at the Bharat Science MT-200 Hyderabad 2026, ITF World Masters Tour Seniors Ranking Tennis Tournament.

It turned out to be a superlative performance from Madhusudhan as winning three titles in an event is no mean feat.

In the 50+ men’s singles final, Madhusudhan brooked no challenge from Sanjay Singh as he cruised to a comfortable 6-0, 6-1 victory.

In the semifinals, Madhusudhan had defeated Ram Kancharla of the USA 6-2, 6-3. However, it was no easy tie as Ram gave Madhusudhan a run for his money, but the latter reeled off winners when needed to clinch the issue.

In the 50+ doubles, Madhusudhan and Nandyala Narsimha Reddy defeated Murali Krishna Raju and Subramanya Raju 6-3, 6-4.

It was a closely fought final as both sides dished out an entertaining tennis. Madhu and Reddy, who is an additional DCP with the Rachakonda police, won the first set 6-3 but faced tough weather in the second one as their rivals put up a brave fight. However, Madhu and Reddy managed to ward off the challenge with a 6-4 victory and take home the doubles title.

In the semifinals, the duo had defeated Vijay Kotra and Sanjay Singh 6-1, 6-2.

The third title for Madhusudhan came in the mixed doubles. Madhusudhan and Sasi Kala Penmetsa defeated Nitesh Rungta and Sree Gynamote 6-2, 6-3.

Madhusudhan has been in terrific form of late. In February this year, he had won a gold medal in the 50+ men’s singles category and a bronze medal in the 40-50 years doubles category at the Open Master Games held at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi.
