Ravula Nikhil slammed an unbeaten double century to help HUCC post a huge total against Sri Chakra in the HCA B Division 2-Day League (relegation matches) on Tuesday.
Batting first, HUCC ran up 536 for six declared in 84 overs with Nikhil scoring 205 of those without getting out. His knock came off 231 balls with 24 fours and a six. G Jeevan Yadav remained not out on 90 and K Anirudh scored 80.
In reply, Sri Chakra lost two early wickets and were 26 for two in 6 overs at stumps of the first day.
In another match, Md Nadeem bagged six wickets to set up New Blues’ thumping eight-wicket win over Continental.
Nadeem took six for 26 in his 12 overs as Continental were bowled out for a lowly 62. New Blues replied with 66 for two with Md Sameer scoring an unbeaten 32.

Vishal, Nookaraju and Praveen shine for ECIL
In the D Division (Institution) league, Vishal Vijay Pawar and Ths Nookaraju scored half-centuries to help ECIL score an eight-wicket win over Air India.
Batting first, Air India made 189 for seven in 20 overs with Anil L Jeph scoring an unbeaten 52 and B Radhakrishna making 55. B Praveen Kumar took four for 50 and Tushar K Jadhav claimed three for 25.
In reply, ECIL scored 190 for two in 17.2 overs with Vijay Vijay Pawar scoring 88 and Nookaraju making 63.
