K Revanth Reddy struck an unbeaten century to power Bhimavaram Bulls to a thumping seven-wicket victory over Vijayawada Sunshiners in their Andhra Premier League match at the YS Raja Reddy ACA Cricket Stadium in Kadapa on Friday evening.
Chasing a stiff 213, Bhimavaram Bulls had a poor start as they lost M Hemanth Reddy (9) with 22 on the board. Hemanth was caught by Prashanth off GSV Sumith.
Revanth does it for the Bulls
TV Sai Sravan joined Revanth Reddy and the duo took the score to 49 with a 27-run partnership off 14 balls before Sravan was caught by Shambu Akhil off GSV Sumanth for 19 (9balls).
Vijayawada Sunshiners looked to make further inroads but Revanth and newman M Ravi Kiran put paid to their hopes.
Revanth and Ravi Kiran took on the rival bowling and shred it to pieces. They added 122 off just 62 balls to put Bhimavaram Bulls firmly on the path of victory. Revanth got to his half-century off 23 balls with five fours and four sixes.
When things were looking good, Ravi Kiran was run out for a 24-ball 46 which contained three fours and four sixes.
However, Revanth found an able partner in B Sathwik and they steered Bhimavaram Bulls home. The Bulls made 218 for three in 17.3 overs with Sathwik making an unbeaten 14 off six balls.
Revanth Reddy, the architect of the stupendous win, remained unconquered on 126 which came off 61 balls and was studded with 14 boundaries and eight huge sixes. GSV Sumith took two for 31.
