Five promising cricketers from the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) will be part of the Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy UK Tour and Cricket Exposure programme to be held in Manchester, England.
The five players were selected by HCA’s junior selection committee, headed by Akash Bhandari. The selected players are: Nipun Reddy, Uzair Ahmed, Aditya Vardhan, P Prince, Ayush Malhotra. While Nipun and Uzair are from the Under-19 age group, the other three are from the Under-16 age group.
HCA to conduct open selection trials for 2026-27 season on May 21 at Gymkhana ground
The HCA, in a release on Sunday, said that secretary M Jeevan Reddy had talks with former Indian captain Dilip Vengsarkar which facilitated the participation of the HCA players in the programme. The Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy team will tour the United Kingdom from July 11, 2026 to July 26, 2026. During the tour, the team will play a total of 12 matches across various venues in England, comprising: 6 matches (45 overs format), 6 matches (T20 format).
This overseas exposure programme is expected to provide valuable international cricketing experience to the young players and contribute significantly towards their overall cricketing development, says the release.
Jeevan Reddy and Ambati Rayudu, HCA head of cricket operations, congratulated all the selected players and appreciated the efforts of the Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy in supporting and encouraging emerging cricket talent. The Hyderabad Cricket Association remains committed to promoting grassroots cricket and creating greater opportunities for aspiring cricketers from Telangana, says the release.
