DRC Sports Foundation thrash TRP Pickleball Club 6-0, storm into semis of HPL Club League

DRC Sports Foundation showed no mercy to TRP Pickleball Club as they romped to a comfortable 6-0 win in the HPL Club League at TRP Arena, Hyderabad, on Friday night.

DRC Sports Foundation Pickleball Club finished their league engagement with eight wins and a loss. Thus, they ended up on top of the table in Conference A and will now play the semifinal at Crosscourt Sports in Vattinagulapally, on May 29.

It was a cakewalk for DRC Sports Foundation players as they cruised through their tie without losing a single game. ND Vijay Anand and Rajeev Reddy began the conquest with a 15-2 victory over Anvesh Bhandari and Nikhil Johnson in the men’s doubles.

Then the women’s doubles pair of Diya Mattipati and Sanjana Sirimalla brooked no challenge as they blanked Aarzoo Salewala and Alankrita Rathi 15-0. Vijay Anand then returned to decimate the challenge of Deva 15-2 as DRC Sports Foundation took a 3-0 lead.

Sanjana Sirimalla too was in no mood to play around as she cruised to a 15-2 win over Aarzoo Salewala. The men’s doubles-2 pair of K Manoj Reddy and Mahesh Reddy took the game beyond TRP Pickleball Club with a 15-9 win over Aditya Shrimal and Deva.

The mixed doubles pair of Diya Mattipati and K Manoj Kumar Reddy completed the rituals with a 15-0 win over Alankrita Rathi and Abhinay Rathi.
