125 INF Battalion overpower SSBA Tarnaka; Mamata Medical College down KVBR

125 INF Battalion continued their win streak by overpowering SSBA Tarnaka 77-55 in the GM Sampath Kumar Annual League Basketball Championship 2026-2027 at YMCA Secunderabad on Tuesday.

In another match, Mamata Medical College got the better of All Star KVBR 61-46 after leading 34-15 at half-time.

As in their previous match, the army outfit started briskly with Akram and Sujeeth playing in tandem to score through drive-ins and Prasad tanked two 3-pointers to score a massive 27 points in the 1^st quarter. SSBA’s Ange Flores waged a lone battle as he scored 7 of the 13 points scored in the 1^st quarter as 125 INF Battalion led comfortably 27-13 at the end of 1^st quarter.

In the 2^nd quarter, 125 INF Battalion continued with the same plan adding another 24 points to their score with Narender and Cliffton doing the bulk of the scoring. On the other hand, SSBA scored 10 points through Ange Flores and Ram Ritin but 125 INF Battalion were comfortably placed at 51-23 at half-time.

After the change of ends, 125 INF Battalion tested their bench strength and that gave SSBA a good opportunity to capitalize on. However, they could muster only 14 points with Jaswanth scoring as many as 6 points. On the other hand, 125 INF Battalion were not far behind chipping in with 18 points to lead 69-37 at the end of the 3^rd quarter.

In the last quarter, SSBA improved their offense and scored 18 points but the lead was too huge to recover. Sandeep scored 19 second half points and 125 INF Battalion won the match 77-55
