Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union minister of state for home affairs, inaugurated the championship 11th All India Police Judo Cluster Games–2026 at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, on Thursday.

Sanjay Kumar’s presence reflects the central government’s commitment to promoting sports, discipline, fitness and professional excellence among police and CAPF personnel. The inaugural ceremony was attended by senior CISF officers, officials of the AIPSCB, representatives of CAPFs and state police organisations, eminent sportspersons and other distinguished guests.

The prestigious championship is being hosted by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) under the aegis of the All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB).

The 11th All India Police Judo Cluster Games–2026 brings together around 1,600 athletes and officials from 36 police and CAPF organisations. The participants will compete fiercely across five martial arts disciplines: Judo, Taekwondo, Wushu, Karate and Pencak Silat.

The event aims to promote sporting excellence, camaraderie, discipline, and national integration among the Police and CAPF fraternity. Furthermore, the championship provides participants with valuable exposure ahead of major international competitions, including the Asian Games, where all five of these disciplines are recognized medal events.

A ceremonial march past by the contingents of the players was followed by a welcome address delivered by ADG/CISF Padmakar S Ranpise.

After addressing the gathering, Sanjay Kumar formally declared the 11th AIPG-Judo Cluster Meet Open which was accompanied by the raising of flags of all participating teams.

The team captains participated in an oath-taking ceremony, which was immediately followed by the official release of the championship Souvenir and the presentation of a memento to the Chief Guest.

Organizing secretary Harpreet Kaur Sohi, IG/CISF. director NISA, delivered the vote of thanks.
