Warangal carved out a narrow four-run win over Mahbubnagar in the final of the HCA Senior Women’s District T20 Tournament on Saturday.
In a low-scoring thriller, Warangal, who batted first, made 98 for eight in their allotted 20 overs with Sai Druvigna scoring an unbeaten 38. Y Triveni took three for 13 to restrict the Warangal batters.
In reply, Mahbubnagar fell short of the target by five runs as they were restricted to 94 for nine in 20 overs despite G Aaryani scoring 30. J Anusha took three for 13 to fashion Warangal’s victory.

Kiran and Somanath shine for NFC and CCMB respectively
M Kiran Kumar bowled NFC to a thrilling two-run win over TGRTC in the HCA D Division Institution (One-day) League Championship.
Batting first, NFC made 154 for seven in 25 overs with C Sivaramakrishna getting 43. In reply, TGRTC were bowled out for 152 in 24.3 overs despite V Chandru making 51. Kiran Kumar finished with five for 39 to steer his team home.
In another match, Somanath Baral bowled CCMB to a comfortable 81-run victory over IICT.
CCMB, batting first, ran up 214 for six in 30 overs with Praveen Nayak making 76 and Abdul Raheem scoring 58.
In reply, IICT were bundled out for 133 in 21.2 overs with Somanath Baral taking five for 22 in 4.2 overs. KS Srinivas scored 54 and V Srinivas Karthik got 30 for the losers.
