TN skaters dominate; AP’s Ramya & Aishwarya bag bronze medals

Tamil Nadu skaters dominated the show at the the 63rd National Roller-Skating Championship at Shivaji Park in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.  Kishore Krishna bagged the yellow metal in the above 18 years men’s category of the Downhill races. He was followed by statemate Harshit and Sayanth of Kerala completed the podium.

In the women’s category, Varshini bagged the honours and Amizhdhini made it 1-2 for Tamil Nadu. Hosts Andhra Pradesh won the bronze through RV Ramya Sree.

In the 15-18 years boys’ competition, Guruharshan finished first and was followed by Vashnav Leemin of Kerala. Aarav Sreejith of Tamil Nadu had to be content with the bronze medal.

In the girls’ section, Tamil Nadu’s Sruthi won the first place and Akshara also of Tamil Nadu bagged the silver. Andhra Pradesh’s Aishwarya Malla Reddy took the bronze.

Results: Downhill: Above 18 men: 1. Kishore Krishna (TN), 2. Harshit (TN), 3. Sayanth (Kerala). Women: 1. Varshini (TN), 2. Amizhdhini (TN), 3. RV Ramya Sree (AP).

15-18 years boys: 1. Guruharshan (TN), 2. Vashnav Leemin (Kerala), 3. Aarav Sreejith (TN). Girls: 1. Sruthi (TN), 2. Akshara (TN), 3. Aishwarya Malla Reddy (AP).
