Telangana kickboxers win 27 medals at Sub-Junior National Kickboxing Championship

Telangana’s young kickboxers delivered an outstanding performance by winning 27 medals at the Sub-Junior National Kickboxing Championship which held in Madhya Pradesh.

The Telangana contingent finished with a rich harvest of four gold medals and an equal number of silver medals apart from 19 bronze medals.

Dr A Sonibala Devi, managing director of Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG) congratulated the young kickboxers for their remarkable achievements and for bringing laurels to Telangana through their outstanding performances at the National championship.

She appreciated the athletes for making the state proud and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in the sport. She also lauded the dedicated efforts of the coaches, parents, and support staff for nurturing young talent and motivating the players to achieve success at the national level.

The felicitation programme was attended by Telangana Kickboxing Association president C Ramanjaneyulu, general secretary N Mahipal, Narsing Rao, Praveen Kumar, Mallesh and Mujamid.

Medal winners: Gold: Golusula Meghansh (21 kg PF), Soinika (18 kg PF), Varun Saini (24 kg PF), Chagala Pavani (46 kg KL).

Silver: Chamarthi Hasini (65 kg KL), Majjiga Manaswi (32 kg PF).

Bronze: Chamarthi Tejasya (42 kg LC), Pujari Harika (42 kg KL), Pavithra Boorla 42 kg KL), Ravula Yashasree (60 kg KL), A Arshith (37 kg PF).
