In a one-sided match, N Tarun Raj fashioned Mahadev’s 110-run win over Hyderabad Wanderers in the final of the HCA’s C Division One-day Knock-out Tournament on Friday.
Batting first, Mahadev managed a modest 218 thanks to Madhu’s unbeaten 83. He was ably supported by G Ganesh, who scored 52. Musharaf Ali took four for 35 for Wanderers.
Hyderabad Wanderers were never in the chase as they lost wickets at regular intervals to be bowled out for 108. Obaid Khan topscored with 41 and Shariq Akthar made 31. Tarun Raj was the wrecker-in-chief with a five for 25 haul and M Chakri took three for 37.

Rishwanth and Ashwith among wickets
In the HCA’s Under-16 Boys District One-day tournament, P Rishwanth and U Ashwith were among the wickets.
P Rishwanth took six for 38 to fashion Medak’s 32-run win over Nalgonda. Batting first, Medak made 191 with B Chethan Nikhil scoring 82. In reply, Nalgonda were bowled out for 159 despite S Harshavardhan Reddy making 54. Rishwanth did the most damage with his five-wicket haul.
In another match, U Ashwith’s all-round show helped Warangal score a 49-run win over Nizamabad.
Batting first, Warangal scored 200 for nine with B Sathwik making 51 of those and Ashwith contributing 43.
In reply, Nizamabad were bowled out for 151 as Ashwith bagged five for 24. Shaik Shajhan made 49 for the losers.
