Syed Mushtaq Ali: Andhra go down to Vidarbha by 19 runs

Andhra suffered their second loss of the tournament after going down to Vidarbha by 19 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament in Lucknow on Monday.
Despite the loss, Andhra remain on second position in Group A with 20 points to their credit from their seven games.
Andhra skipper Ricky Bhui asked Vidarbha to bat first. Andhra struck in the very first over as Ashwin Hebbar ran out opener Adhyayan Daga (1) off the sixth ball. Vidarbha lost two more wickets with the score reading 47 but Aman Mokhade and Akshay Wadkar steadied the innings with a 47-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Aman fell for 50 (35b; 7×4) and Akshay made 41 but Andhra bowlers struck frequently to reduce Vidarbha to 154 for eight. Satyanarayana Raju finished with four for 26.
In reply, Andhra struggled as Srikar Bharat fell for a duck and Shaik Rasheed went for 3. Pyla Avinash scored 44 and Bhui 26 but the others fell. Andhra finished with 135 for nine. Yash Thakur did the most damage with four for 22.
