Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty and Ankita Raina pulled off straight sets win over Japan’s Misaki Matsuda and Eri Shimizu in the doubles’ final at the W75 Pune NECC Deccan $60K ITF Women’s Tennis Tournament at the Deccan Gymkhana in Pune on Saturday.
The Indian pair won 7-6 (3), 6-3 in a keenly fought encounter. The Indians were tested in the first set but managed to win the tie-break and claim the set 7-6. The second set proved a cakewalk as they romped to a 6-3 win and claim the title.
This is Shrivalli Rashmikaa’s ninth ITF title.
