Telangana swimmer Shivani Karra bagged her third medal of the championship while Aarush Das delivered an impressive performance at the 42nd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championships 2026, being held in Jaipur from August 6 to 9.
Shivani continued with her medal winning ways as he bagged another silver in the 100mts freestyle.
Dhivashree Kesavan of Tamil Nadu took the gold medal with a timing of 1:00.23 seconds. Shivani finished the race in 1:01.28 seconds and Indraany M Menon of Kerala came in third with 1:01.66 seconds.
In the boys’ 50m backstroke final, Aarush Das finished third to secure a bronze medal for the Telangana.

The race was won by Madhya Pradesh swimmer Krishiv Doshi, who took the gold medal with a timing of 30.36 seconds. He was followed by Shlok Sunil Jadhav of Karnataka and Aarush Das.
The bronze medal holds special significance for Aarush Das, as it marks his first National-level medal, making the achievement a memorable milestone in his young swimming career.
Aarush’s performance reflects his hard work, determination and growing potential on the national stage. His achievement is also a proud moment for Telangana swimming, showcasing the emergence of promising young talent from the state.
