Shiva grabs a double in carrom at the IHM Inter-college indoor sports meet

Shiva of IIHM won the singles title in the carrom competitions of the IHM Inter-College indoor sports tournament for Yamuna Ranga Rao Trophy at their premises in Vidyanagar, Hyderabad, on Monday. Anurag Gautam of IHM-Hyderabad finished runners-up.

Shiva made it a double by winning the doubles title too with Kiran as his partner. They defeated Anurag Gautam and Sajid.

In the chess tournament, Vaishnavi of Regency College of Hotel Management took the crown, while Pranith of CAI stood second.

The table tennis event was won by Swastik Gupta of IHM-Hyderabad. Vivek Rao made it 1-2 for IHM-Hyderabad by finishing runner-up.

The annual sports event was part of the Food Fest celebrations hosted at the Institute and sponsored by Canara Bank. It drew spirited participation from hospitality institutes across the region, transforming the campus into a hub of energy, enthusiasm, and sporting excellence.

The tournament featured a range of engaging indoor events including Chess, Carrom (singles & doubles), Table Tennis, and Arm Wrestling, fostering a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students. The high energy and camaraderie added vibrancy and enthusiasm to the campus.

Chess: 1. Vaishnavi (Regency College of Hotel Management), 2. Pranith (CAI).
