V S Sampath, former Chief Election Commissioner of India, on Monday assumed charge as Election Officer of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) at the HCA office in the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. He will conduct election to the posts of secretary and treasurer of the HCA which have been lying vacant for the past few months.
V S Sampath brings with him vast administrative experience and an outstanding record in conducting elections with the highest standards of transparency, impartiality, and strict adherence to statutory norms. His appointment underscores the Association’s firm commitment to ensuring that the electoral process is conducted in a free, fair, transparent, and credible manner, strictly in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations of the Association, says a press release issued by the HCA on Monday.
“All affiliated clubs, members, and concerned stakeholders are hereby requested to extend their full cooperation and support to the Election Officer to facilitate the smooth and timely completion of the election process. The detailed election schedule and related procedures will be communicated separately in due course,” adds the release.
