Sai Teja and Vanisha claim Strong Man and Strong Woman titles at Powerlifting meet

S Sai Teja won the prestigious Strong Man title, while S Vanisha emerged as the Strong Woman with outstanding performances even as the Telangana Open Medchal-Malkajgiri District Powerlifting Championship concluded on a high note at Fitness Plus Gym, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, with athletes showcasing exceptional strength and determination across various categories.

Among the standout performers, in the men’s 52 kg category, S Sai Teja delivered a remarkable performance, lifting 197.5 kg in the deadlift and 77.5 kg in the bench press to secure the championship title.

S Vanisha claimed victory in the Teen Girls 56 kg category by lifting 130 kg in the deadlift and 35 kg in the bench press.

Other category winners included M Priyanka in the 54.5 kg category, G Ravi Teja in the 106 kg category, Nithun in the 81 kg category, and D Krishna in the 64 kg category.

Vanisha, Sai Teja get richer by Rs 10,000 each

The closing ceremony was attended by chief guests Krishna Rao, Gauthami, and Ravi Teja, who congratulated the winners and presented cash prizes of Rs 10,000 each to Strong Woman Vanisha and Strong Man Sai Teja in recognition of their outstanding achievements.

Rekha, president of the WPC Telangana Powerlifting Association, distributed medals to the winners and applauded all participants for their dedication and sportsmanship. Organizers stated that the championship aims to promote powerlifting and encourage more youth to take up strength sports and fitness activities.
