Rishitha Reddy kickstarts women’s circuit career with back-to-back titles in Belagavi

Hyderabad girl Rishitha Reddy Basireddy made a commanding start to her women’s circuit career by clinching two consecutive women’s AITA Rs 1 lakh title in Belagavi, Karnataka.

Rishitha Reddy scored a 6-2, 6-0 win over Diya Vivekanandan in the finals of the first tournament which was held from April 27 to May. In the semifinals, Rishitha defeated Kartika Padmakumar 6-4, 6-2.

In the next tournament, which was held from May 4 to 8, Rishitha Reddy defeated Vennela Reddy Gaarugupati 6-2, 6-0. She had shut out Ayushi Tanwar 6-1, 6-1 in the semifinals.

Displaying exceptional consistency and dominance, she stormed through both tournaments without dropping a single set, underlining her strong transition into the women’s category. Her confident gameplay, composure under pressure, and ability to control matches were key highlights across both weeks.
