RCB all-rounder Tim David again penalized for breaching Level 1 of IPL’s code of conduct

Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder Tim David has been penalized by the Indian Premier League (IPL) for breaching Level 1 of the IPL’s code of conduct for players. This is David’s second offence in the tournament this season.

Earlier in the day, head coach Andy Flower too was penalized IPL for breaching the code of conduct.

“Tim David, All-rounder, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has been fined 30% of his applicable match fee and has also accumulated two demerit points for breaching Level 1 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct for Players and Team officials,” says an IPL release.

“Tim was found to have breached article 2.6 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which relates to “using a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting.”

“Tim admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction imposed by Match Referee, Amit Sharma,” the release added.

Earlier, David was penalized 25% of his match fee and had accumulated one Demerit point in the game against Mumbai Indians.
