Rajnigandha Achievers Polo Team won the prestigious Aditya Birla Memorial Polo Cup with an electrifying performance against Thunderbolts (Army Red) in the final at the Jaipur polo grounds. It is the second consecutive win for the Rajnigandha Achievers Polo Team in the tournament.
The tournament, held from March 11 to 15, brought together four talented teams vying for the prestigious title, making for a scintillating week of high-octane polo action. The final clash saw a thrilling match between the two teams with Rajnigandha Achievers emerging victorious over Thunderbolts (Army Red) with a decisive 9-5 win.
In the first chukker, Rajnigandha scored two goals and Thunderbolts got one. Rajnigandha players dominated play in the next two chukkers. In the second chukker, they scored three goals even as Thunderbolts could manage nothing.
In the third chukker, Rajnigandha added three more goals to their tally, while Thunderbolts got two goals during this period.
With an 8-3 lead, Rajnigandha players let their guard down a wee bit. Thunderbolts got two goals and Rajigandha scored one. Rajnigandha Achievers showcased an impressive performance across all the chukkers.
The Rajnigandha Achievers team comprises Shamsheer Ali, Aryaman Singh and Daniel Otamendi who were all instrumental in the success of the team.
