In a spectacular display of skill, determination and teamwork, the Rajnigandha Achievers Polo Team emerged victorious at SMS (Sawai Man Singh) Gold Vase Tournament. The Rajnigandha Achievers Polo Team defeated the Navy Team 6-4 in the final.
The final clash was nothing short of a nail-biter, with both teams battling neck and neck till the last chukker. The score progression reflected the intensity of the final.
Rajnigandha dominated all four chukkers
Rajnigandha Achievers began the game in style as they swamped Navy Team in the first chukker. Rajnigandha Achievers scored two goals to Navy Team’s one in the first chukker.
Things went accordingly in the rest of the three chukkers as Rajnigandha Achievers stamped their authority over their rivals. However, Navy Team did not let them cruised to victory. They kept pace with their opponents but were unable to push themselves ahead.
The second chukker saw both sides score a goal apiece. In the third chukker, Rajnigandha Achievers scored two goals to take their tally to five, while Navy Team got a goal and were three up. At the end of the third chukker, Rajnigandha Achievers led 5-3.
In the final chukker, Rajnigandha Achievers scored one more goal, while Navy Team got one. Rajnigandha Achievers showcased an impressive win, sealing a 6-4 victory in the final match.
Rajnigandha are consistent performers
The Rajnigandha Achievers team comprised Dr Aryaman Singh, Salim Azmi, Dhruv Pal Godara, and captain Daniel Otamendi. Notably, captain Daniel Otamendi & Dhruvpal Godara were instrumental in Rajnigandha Achievers’ success and the win.
The tournament, held from March 3 to 8, brought together four exceptional teams vying for the prestigious title, making for an electrifying week of high-octane polo action.
