Edwards-coached PSB brook no challenge

Punjab & Sind Bank, who are coached by Olympian Alloysius Edwards, swamped the rival fortress and scored at will. The hapless Defence Accounts players were more or less left rooted to their turf for much of the game as the swift bankers brooked no challenge.

Jaskaran Singh opened the scoring in the fourth minute of play, but Defence Accounts held fort and denied their rivals another goal in the first quarter. That was the best they could put up as they matched their rivals.

But, thereafter, there was no stopping the bankmen, who scored three goals in the second quarter to take a 4-0 lead going into the break.

Upon resumption, PSB continued to harass the rival defence and scored four goals. Defence Accounts finally got a goal in the 40th minute as Happy struck a field goal.
