Priya Punia replaces injured Pratika Rawal in India’s squad for one-off England Test

The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) women’s selection committee has named Priya Punia as a replacement for injured Pratika Rawal in India’s squad for the upcoming Test against England at Lord’s, which will begin on July 10.

Priya Punia finished as the highest run-getter for India A with 171 runs from three matches in the recently concluded three-match One-Day series against England A, playing a crucial role in helping the team achieve a 2-1 series win. Pic: Instagram

Pratika sustained a laceration injury around her right knee during India A’s second One-Day match against England A in Taunton and will not be able to recover in time for the Test against England. She is subsequently ruled out of the Test.
