Over 350 players will take part in the fifth edition of the NMDC Telangana Squash Open, the state’s premier annual national squash tournament, to be held at the Sports Complex, Secunderabad Club, Hyderabad, from July 4 to 8, 2026.

The five-day tournament, organised by HSPL, will bring together more than 350 players from across the country to compete in the Junior, Senior, and Masters categories.

Now in its fifth season and promoted by NMDC, the Telangana Squash Open has grown into a marquee fixture on India’s national squash calendar. The tournament was established with the goal of promoting squash culture in Telangana, and over the years it has become a platform for players of all ages to test their skills and prove their mettle on a competitive national stage.

This year’s event will see intense action across the three categories as juniors, seniors, and masters’ players battle it out on court over five days of competition. With entries drawn from across the country, the tournament promises high-quality squash and closely fought matches throughout the week.

Entry free for spectators

In a welcome move for the local sporting community, entry to watch the tournament is completely free. Squash enthusiasts and members of the public are invited to head to the Sports Complex at Secunderabad Club to witness the action live, free of charge, for the full duration of the event, says a release.

“The Telangana Squash Open has consistently helped grow the sport’s footprint in the state, and this fifth edition, with the continued support of NMDC, is set to be our biggest yet,” said a spokesperson for HSPL. “We’re proud to bring together over 350 players across three categories and to open our doors to the public at no cost, so that more people can experience the excitement of squash firsthand.”
