OU workshop on Physical Education and Sports Science concludes successfully

Over 100 members participated in the week-long workshop on Physical Education and Sports Science which was held at the Conference Hall, School of Education, University College of Education, Osmania University, from March 4 to 10.

The workshop was conducted by the Faculty of Education, and Department of Physical Education, Osmania University.

The topics covered during the workshop were: Female Athletes, Physical Literacy, Physical Education, Sports Psychology, Exercise Physiology, Sports Injuries, Stress Management etc.

Dr Imran Sharif from AIG Hospitals, Banjara Hills, conducting a workshop on First aid and CPR Techniques 

In the field of physical education, Dr Amit Malik, from International Physical Literacy Association, spoke about the importance of physical literacy. Dr Imran Sharif from AIG Hospitals, Banjara Hills, took a workshop on First aid and CPR Techniques.

Dr C Veerender, eminent psychologist, gave a lecture on psychological skills for sportspersons. Prof Ravindranth K Murthy, principal, University College of Education, gave a lecture on research in Education. Sr Prof B Sunil Kumar, principal, UCPE, spoke on the game of kho- kho.

On the final day of the workshop, Hockey India president and Padma Shri awardee Dilip Tirkey was the chief guest and distributed the certificates. P Madhukaran, former Indian women’s team coach, was the guest of honour.
