Nouman Khan’s all-round performance powers Silverbacks to title win in Reno Cricket League

Nouman Khan’s all-round show powered Silverbacks to a 114-run victory over Sparks Strikers as they clinched the title in the Reno Cricket League 2026, organized by Reno Cricket Club which is based in Reno, Nevada, USA.

Batting first, Silverbacks were powered to a massive 237 for nine in 20 overs thanks to Nouman Khan D’s blistering 83 which came off 34 balls. He was ably supported by Rashid N, who smashed a 36-ball 72 and Siddartha C, who made 34 off 20 balls.

For Sparks Strikers’ Shanawaz N stole the honours with a six for 18 haul in 3 overs but his valiant effort went in vain as his batters let him down.

In reply, Sparks Strikers were bundled out for 123 in 17.2 overs with the only resistance coming from Mahesh S, who scored a 24-ball 39. Nouman Khan D finished with figures of four for 17 in four overs, while Siddartha C bagged two for 28 and Dwarakesh J got one for four.

Nouman Khan’s stupendous show earned him the Player of the Tournament as he had run a fine campaign by showing great consistency right through the tournament.

Veteran Hyderabad junior cricketer and coach Leonel Justin gave away the trophy to the winning team’s captain Tarun Joshi. Leonal Justin, who played for Hyderabad Juniors and ran a cricket camp in Hyderabad for many years as a coach was invited as the Chief Guest for the tournament finals.

Justin along with the members of the Reno Cricket Club organizing committee Abhilash Putta, Dominic Savio, Rahul Saha, and Shiva SN gave away the prizes.

Reno Cricket Club, based in Reno, Nevada, is a growing cricket community with approximately 150 members and players from India, Australia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka, who come together as part of different teams.

Reno Cricke League 2026 featured six competitive teams battling it out throughout the season, culminating in an exciting final and the final belonged to the Silverbacks thanks too Nouman Khan’s heroics.
