Nayeem and Shoib fashioned FC Mastergrade’s whopping 13-1 win over BBFS in the Under-14 category of the junior edition of the One Football Championship Hyderabad 2026 at the Sportek Arena, Gandipet, Hyderabad, on Sunday.
With temperatures soaring to nearly 40 degrees in Hyderabad, the weather did little to affect the young footballers, who showed incredible passion, determination and energy throughout the day.
The FC Mastergrade players were all over the BBFS defence as the scored goals at will. Leading the onslaught was Nayeem, who scored five of the 13 goals, and Shoib, who made merry with four goals to his credit. Turhaan scored a brace, while Saad and Abhi got a goal each. The lone goal for BBFS came from the boots of Ruthvik.
In another match, Medansh slammed five goals to power Ziel United Football Academy to a thumping 8-2 victory over Conscient Sports White 2.
Medansh scored five of the eight goals and Daksh got two, while Arjun rounded off the tally as Ziel United proved too good for the hapless Conscient Sports White 2 outfit. Arjun and Preetham scored a goal each for the losers.

The theme of Matchday 2 was the physical aspect of the game, introducing an exciting challenge called the Notch Challenge Course, which included an agility course (without the ball), a dribbling course (with the ball), and a shooting challenge. The event brought an extra layer of excitement beyond the matches, with every player eager to test their speed and technique. Mohammed Affan Azeem from Sreenidhi Deccan Little Stars Academy (Under-12) topped the challenge this week with a remarkable time of 24 seconds, while Reyansh from Eden Academy (Under-10) followed closely with a time of 25 seconds, making them the standout performers of the challenge.
Matchday 2 also saw the first use of the OneFC Powerplay Card — a unique strategic move introduced in Week 1, which each team can deploy just once across the five-week stage.
Teams that chose to activate it this week raised the stakes significantly, with 5 points on offer for a win, 1 for a draw, and -2 for a loss. The Powerplay added a thrilling new dimension to the competition, with coaches and players having to think beyond just the football itself.
With motivating Player of the Match awards presented after every game, the excitement and competitive spirit remained high throughout the day. Spectators, parents and coaches witnessed another thrilling weekend of grassroots football, with every team giving their all despite the challenging conditions.
