Nayana Sri Talluri continued her dominance in Indian short track speed skating by winning three gold medals and a bronze medal at the 21st National Short Track Speed Skating Championship, held at the Himadri Ice Rink, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, from June 24 to 30, 2026.

Nayana claimed gold medals in the 500m, 1000m, and 1500m events and secured a bronze medal in the 3000m Mixed Relay.

With this outstanding performance, Nayana has become a five-time consecutive National Champion, further cementing her position as one of India’s finest short track speed skaters. She is also the National record holder in the sport.

Cash-strapped Nayana seeks sponsorship

However, Nayana is cash-strapped and her dreams of soaring higher now depend on sponsorship. Her family is looking to the state government, sports authorities, and corporate sponsors to support her international training and competition expenses. This will enable her to continue competing at the highest level and represent India on the world stage.
