Mohd Azharuddin lauds Aaron George’s feat, encourages him to aim for greater laurels

Hyderabad’s Under-19 cricketer Aaron George, who was part of the Indian team which won an unprecedented sixth title at the ICC Under-19 World Cup recently, was felicitated by Mohammed Azharuddin, former India captain and minister for minorities welfare & public Enterprises, at the Telangana Secretariat on Thursday.

Aaron George played a significant role in India’s successful campaign in the prestigious international tournament, delivering an outstanding performance that included a remarkable century in the semifinal against Afghanistan. Azharuddin, who is the only player in the world to score three centuries on a trot (three Test matches) on his debut against England, congratulated the young cricketer for bringing pride to Telangana and the nation through his dedication, discipline, and sporting excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, Azharuddin, who was also the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), lauded Aaron’s achievement and encouraged him to continue working hard and aiming for greater milestones in international cricket. He stated that Aaron’s success highlights the immense sporting talent emerging from Telangana and serves as a strong inspiration for aspiring young cricketers across the state.

Azharuddin further emphasized the importance of supporting young sportspersons and creating opportunities for talent to flourish at national and international levels.

Aaron George expressed his gratitude for the encouragement and support extended by the minister and reaffirmed his commitment to representing the country with pride in future tournaments.
