Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology emerge champs at OU inter-college karate

Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology claimed the team championship at the Osmania University Inter-College Karate Championships on Saturday.

Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology bagged 11 points to be placed at the top. Anwar-ul Uloom Degree College came in second with 10 points and Dr B R Ambedkar College were placed third with eight points.

Results: Team Championship: 1. Lords Institute Engineering and Technology (11 points), 2. Anwar-ul Uloom Degree College (10), 3. Dr B R Ambedkar College (8).

Karate (Kumite):

50 kg: 1. M Balaji (Siddartha), 2. K Gopal (Nava Chaitaniya), 3. T Kaushik (Keshav Memorial).

55 kg: 1. A Purushottam (Dr B R Ambedkar), 2. V Thalara (Indus College), 3. Syed Basheer (Anwar-ul Uloom).

60 kg: 1. Md Moinuddin (Anwar-ul Uloom), 2. Mohd Kaif (Lords Engg), 3. Sumeeth (GCPE).

67 kg: 1. M Sai Charan (Badruka), 2. B Siddarth Yadav (Keshav Memorial), 3. Syed Ali Masood (ISL College).

75 kg: 1. Mohd Huzaifa Shareef (Lords Engg), 2. M Sai Kumar (GCPE), 3. Hamza (Anwar-ul Uloom).

84 kg: 1. K Koushik (Dr B R Ambedkar), 2. Ismail Fazal Mahmood Khan (Lords Engg), 3. D G Sai Balaji (Aurora College).

+84 kg: 1. Syed Talib (Anwar-ul Uloom), 2. B Nischal (Nizam College), 3. Syed Sameer (Lords Engg).
