Kerala State Road Transport Football Team (KSFT) scored a solitary goal victory over Dehradun in the final of the All India Kumar Mangalam Football Tournament in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on Monday.
The match began with both teams testing each other and jostling for supremacy. However, neither team was able to break the deadlock in the first half of the final. There was plenty of excitement on the field and a couple of near misses and plenty of action. Both sides played their hearts out but a goal remained elusive for either side.
After the break, the Kerala side piled up the pressure on their rivals and the Dehradun citadel finally fell in the 52th minute of the game. Karun Baby found the net to the delight of his teammates and the dismay of the rivals.
The stadium erupted in joy and celebrations. The stadium was packed with an enthusiastic crowd of nearly 30,000 spectators, creating an amazing and vibrant football atmosphere.

The Kerala side took home Rs 2.5 lakh as prize money and Dehradun had to be content with Rs 1.5 lakh.

The Hyderabad great was the chief guest at the final and gave away the prizes to the teams. Victor was also felicitated by Anshul Khandelwal, CEO, on behalf of the organisers.

The previous evening, Victor was felicitated at the G&R Sports Academy. The footballer had a wonderful interaction with the young and energetic trainees and the qualified coaches, Gafoor, Nadeem, and Vikas.
“I also had the privilege of delivering a motivational talk on football, sharing experiences and encouraging the youngsters to pursue the game with discipline, passion, and dedication.
