Injured wicketkeeper Kamalini out of Australia tour, replaced by Uma Chetry

Wicket-keeper G Kamalini has been ruled out of India’s Australia tour and the women’s selection committee has named Uma Chetry as her replacement in India’s T20Is and ODI squads.

The Test team will be shepherded by Harmanpreet Kaur with Smriti Mandhana doing the vice-captaincy duties. India will play the one-off Test against Australia at Perth, and the Test will be played after the white-ball series. The four-day Test will take place at the WACA from March 6 to 9.

Test squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (captain), Smriti Mandhana (vice-captain), Shafali Varma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Amanjot Kaur, Richa Ghosh (wicketkeeper), Uma Chetry (wicketkeeper), Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Renuka Thakur, Sneh Rana, Kranti Gaud, Vaishnavi Sharma, Sayali Satghare.

Radha Yadav to lead India A for Rising Star Asia Cup

Meanwhile the selectors also picked the India A squad for the Rising Star Women’s Asia Cup to be played in a T20 format in February in Thailand. Radha Yadav will lead the Indian team.

The selectors have included Deeya Yadav and wicketkeeper Mamta M in the squad, but their availability depends on fitness subject by the BCCI COE.

India will meet Pakistan A on February 25 (Sunday).

India A squad: Humairaa Kaazi, Vrinda Dinesh, Anushka Sharma, Deeya Yadav, Tejal Hasabnis, Nandani Kashyap (wicketkeeper), Mamta M (wicketkeeper), Radha Yadav (captain), Sonia Mendhiya, Minnu Mani, Tanuja Kanwer, Prema Rawat, Saima Thakor, Jintamani Kalita, Nandani Sharma.

February 13: India A vs UAE.
February 15: India A vs Pakistan A.
February 17: India A vs Nepal.
February 20: Semifinal 1 (Group A first vs Group B second).
February 20: Semifinal 2 (Group B first vs Group A second).
February 22: Final.
