Victory for Hutton landed the Englishwoman the biggest title of her career so far, with the World No.14’s greatest success on the PSA Squash Tour prior to lifting the Bronze-level crown coming at the Copper-level event, the Calgary Squash Week Open, in 2025.

Jasmine did not drop a single game

Jasmine didn’t drop a single game on her way to scooping the title in Hamburg, playing at a high intensity throughout which saw her axe top seed Salma Hany in the semifinals. The 27-year-old extended those tactics into today’s final, which helped her claim an emphatic 11-8, 11-7, 13-11 win for the 10th title of her career.

“Nele is an incredible player. She’s so gutsy. I just knew it was going to be a fight. We played each other at European’s last year and I think it was a 76-minute battle 3-2. I was 2-0 up and I went 3-2 down so I just had that in my mind that I really didn’t want to do that again. All credit to her, she’s such an amazing player,” Jasmine said.

“(Winning my first Bronze-level title) is really cool! It’s been a big goal of mine to get a big title. I wanted to hit a step up from the Coppers this year and really try and progress and win a Silver or a Bronze so I’m really happy to have done it here,” she said.

“It’s been a real confidence boost beating some of those girls ahead of me and I can just go into Grasshopper with a bit more of a free mind with no pressure and see how far I can go!”

Eleinen secures first title of season

In the men’s title decider, Eleinen prevailed in the all-Egyptian battle with Soliman to secure his first piece of silverware this season.

Eleinen, who was runner-up at the Karachi Open earlier this year, made it back-to-back victories over his compatriot on the PSA Squash Tour to lift his second Bronze title.

World No.12 Soliman came into the final off the back of two lengthy matches, with his semifinal clash with Baptiste Masotti going beyond 100 minutes. Eleinen took full advantage of the enduring tussles Soliman faced, controlling the rallies and moving his opponent around the court to notch a 11-5, 11-8, 11-5 win to land his fourth Tour crown.

“Youssef is one of the closest people to me on Tour. We’re sharing a room actually this tournament and we’re basically sleeping next to each other!” he said afterwards.

“But Youssef’s been a training partner in Egypt for a while, we hang out a lot. I know he’s returning back from injury and to be playing at this level is just the start.

“I’ve been waiting for this title for a while now. I’ve had lots of heartbreaks. I came close in Pakistan, and then had a bad start in El Gouna, but I’m now working with Karim Darwish for a couple of months and he’s done it all. It’s helping me through the mental part. I pretty much speak to him every day to try and get my mind together. I’m glad to get it done and hopefully I can finish the season strong.”

Lucy and Miguel win Bermuda Open titles

England’s Lucy Turmel and Colombia’s Miguel Rodriguez claimed the STARR Bermuda Open 2026 titles after coming through contrasting finals in the penultimate Bronze event of the 25-26 PSA Squash Tour season.

The women’s final was up first as Turmel faced top seed and World No.19 Sabrina Sobhy in what was expected to be a high-quality affair. Sobhy was the better player in the first two games and deservedly earned a 2-0 lead, winning 11-4, 11-7.

A better showing from Turmel in the third game saw the score reach 7-6 to Sobhy. After a successful cross-court nick by Turmel, disaster struck for Sobhy. The American pushed off to retrieve the ball but immediately fell to the floor, clutching her right Achilles tendon.

Sobhy was helped off the court and was unable to return, securing a seventh career title for Turmel but not in the way she would have liked.

Following the sad nature of the women’s final, an entertaining men’s final was wanted all at the Bermuda Racquets Association Club and that’s exactly what they got.

A match featuring Miguel Rodriguez is rarely dull, and with talented Egyptian Kareem El Torkey thrown into the equation too, the Devonshire crowd were in for a treat.

The experienced Colombian took the opening game 11-5, showing El Torkey, nearly 20 years his junior, that this won’t be an easy match for the Egyptian. The top seed then showcased his skill and speed by picking off the loose shots of the Colombian to turn the tide and take a 2-1 lead.

As he has done so many times, Miguel Rodriguez knuckled down and made himself hard to beat. This mentality forced errors from the Egyptian and Rodriguez fired his way through the fourth and fifth games to take the title, winning 11-7, 11-5 to win his 31st career title.
