Jashwanth and Varshith Reddy score tons; Nithin & Siddharth shine with the cherry

Jashwanth Kanneboina hit a century to power Team B to a two-wicket win over Team C in the HCA Under-19 One-day Super League in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Batting first, Team C made 272 with Arjun NC scoring an unbeaten 89 and Muntazir Ahmed getting 66.

In reply, Team B scored 273 for eight as Jashwanth hit 118 off just 89 balls with 17 hits to the fence. Atharva Sunkari (3/54) and Shaik Fahad Ahmed (3/50) fought but they could not prevent a Team B win.

B Varshith Reddy was the other centurion on the day. But his effort was overshadowed by Nithin Nayak, whose six-wicket haul helped Team E score a 131-run win over Team F.

Team E, batting first, made a competitive 360 with Puneeth Sai M scoring 65 and Rithvik Goud making 52. Siddarth G took five for 41 for Team F.

In reply, Team F scored 299 despite Varshith Reddy getting 101 off 88 balls with 17 fours and two sixes. Nithin Nayak was the wrecker-in-chief with a six for 42 haul.

T Deekshith took four for 66 and Ved Reddy bagged three for 39 as Team D scored a 134-run win over Team A.

Team C 272 in 48.4overs (Jashwanth Mote 32, Muntazir Ahmed 66, Arjun NC 89no) lost to Team B 273/8 in 39.5 overs (Thakshil Erroju 40, Jashwanth Kanneboina 118, Atharava Sunkari 3/54, Shail Fahad Ahmed 3/50).

Hyderabad score narrow nine-run win over Bengal

Arhaan Satwalekar and Shaik Rehaan Roshan hit half-centuries to set up Hyderabad’s nine-run win over Bengal Under-19 in the latter’s tour to Hyderabad.

Batting first, Hyderabad Under-19 made 260 for nine thanks to Arhaan’s 71 and Roshan’s58. Dhanvin Nimavat took four for 70.

In reply, Bengal fought back but fell short by nine runs. They were bowled out for 251 with Snehasish Roy scoring 58.

Nidhi hits unbeaten 62 in Team A win

K Nidhi hit an unbeaten half-century to set up Team A’s 42-run win over Team B in the Women’s Under-19 T20 Super League.

Nidhi scored 62 and N Sai Druvigna made 38 as Team A scored 153 for four. In reply, Team B were restricted to 111 for five despite Akshaya N scoring 47.
