Ibrahimpatnam boys and LB Nagar girls stole the thunder in kabaddi competitions at the Ranga Reddy District Level Chief Minister’s Cup 2025-26 at the Indoor Stadium in Saroornagar on Wednesday.
Shadnagar came in second in the boys’ category, while Maheshwaram girls finished runners-up.

In chess boys’ competitions, Pabbati Sri Sai Vedansh and Ayan Raj Reddy Kottapalli took the top honours. They were followed by Vemula Shashi Kiran.
In the girls’ category, Shashi Hasini Chintala and Tanisha Khadelwal reigned supreme. They were followed by Cherukupally Sri Rama Vaishnavi.
The winning teams and players in these competitions will represent Rangareddy district in the state-level Chief Minister’s Cup competitions to be held soon.

More than 1500 players from eight assembly constituencies of Rangareddy district participated in this event and showcased their talent. Competitions were organized in kabaddi, kickboxing, chess, yoga, wushu, cycling and gymnastics. Merit certificates and medals were awarded to the winning players in the competitions.
The organizers said that these district-level Chief Minister’s Cup competitions was helping identify sports talent among youth and contributing to building a healthy society. With the coordination and efforts of everyone, these competitions were completed with great success.
