Hyderabad District Wrestling Championship at Barkas Playground on June 23 & 24

The 13th Hyderabad District Wrestling Championship will be held at the Barkas Playground in Hyderabad on June 23 and 24. Competitions will be held in Free Style, Greco Roman Style and also women category. The tournament is being held by the Hyderabad District Amateur Wrestling Association.

Weigh in will be held between 9 am and 12 noon on June 23 at the Barkas Playground. Only those who are born between 2003 and 2007 (19 to 23 years) are eligible to participate in the Under-23 Wrestling Championship while the wrestlers born in 2008 (18 years) can participate with medical certificate and parental authorization.

Wrestlers have to bring their original Aadhar card and birth certificate and a copy of both the documents. The xerox copy has to be submitted during the weigh in. The wrestlers also should have their phones with the number given in their Aadhar to check the OTP.

Wrestlers who have participated in National wrestling championships should submit their WFI license book.

The judges’ decision will be final and binding and any wrestler who disputes or quarrels against the decision will be banned from all tournaments to be conducted by the HDWA.

Weight categories: Free style: 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 79, 86, 92, 97 and 125kg.

Greco Roman: 55, 60, 63, 67, 72, 77, 82, 87, 97 and 130kg.

Women: 50, 53, 55, 57, 59, 62, 65, 68, 72 and 76kg.
