Hyderabad take honours against Goa in South Zone Inter-State Under-14 game

Utkarsh Chaudhary’s four wicket haul helped Hyderabad take the all-important first innings lead against Goa in the South Zone Inter-state Under-14 boys (two-days) tournament in Vizianagaram.

Replying to Hyderabad’s 347, Goa were restricted to 247 for seven in 90 overs with Utkarsh claiming four for 40. S Sulesh Naik topscored for Goa with an unbeaten 63 and Nanthan Sawant scored 58. Jonas Pereira made 37 and Sparsh Gauns remained unbeaten on 31.

On Saturday, Hyderabad had made 347 with M Dakshdeep scoring 84. V Jagath Roshan made 73, while Raghaav Narayan scored 45 and Yuvan Srikanth Raj making 43.

Brief scores: Hyderabad 347 in 85 overs (G Yuvan Srikanth Raj 43, M Dakshdeep 84, V Jagath Roshan 73, Raghaav Narayan 45) drew with Goa 247/7 in 90 overs (Jonas Pereira 37, Nanthan Sawant 58, S Sulesh Naik 63no, Sparsh Gauns 31no; Utkarsh Chaudhary 4/40).

Revised squad for next two matches

The Junior Selection Committee made a few changes to the Hyderabad Under-14 squad for the next two matches in the tournament.
