Hyderabad riders clear EFI National Qualifier, move closer to JNEC 2026 

Hyderabad’s equestrian fraternity had much to celebrate as several city riders successfully cleared the National Qualifier conducted by the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) at the Nasr Polo & Equestrian Academy in Hyderabad.

Lehak Mehta (Groot)

The riders delivered confident and composed performances across the Dressage and Show Jumping competitions, meeting the prescribed qualification standards and moving one step closer to participating in the Junior National Equestrian Championship (JNEC) 2026.

Aamir Shanawaz Mohammed (Darcy)

The National Qualifier witnessed an impressive participation of approximately 50 horses, reflecting the rapid growth of equestrian sport in Hyderabad and the increasing competitive strength of riders from the region.

Samyukta Vanapally (Captain)

Clearing the NQ is an important milestone in the riders’ journey towards the national championship. Their success is a testament to their disciplined training, determination and the dedicated support of their coaches, parents, clubs and support teams.

Nasr Polo & Equestrian Academy congratulated all the successful horse-and-rider combinations and wished them the very best as they prepare to represent Hyderabad at the JNEC 2026.

The successful conduct of the qualifier further reinforces Hyderabad’s emergence as an important centre for competitive equestrian sport in India.
