Hemasri and Akshara struck a brace each as Nalgonda overpowered Ranga Reddy 4-0 to emerge champions in the Telangana Football Association’s (TFA) Under-16 Asmita Football League 2026 in Nizamabad on Monday.
In a rather one-sided game, Nalgonda girls dominated the proceedings from the word go. Hemasri struck the first blow in the 11th minute to put Nalgonda on the top.

Akshara then made it 2-0 in the 26th minute as the Ranga Reddy defenders found it hard to restrain the Nalgonda forwards.
Hemasri scored in the 39th minute to make it 3-0 for Nalgonda and Akshara rounded off the tally in the 58th minute for the winners.
P Sai Chaitanya was the chief guest for the closing ceremony, and the guest of honour was TFA secretary G P Palguna.
The tournament was held from September 4 to 7.
Results (final): Nalgonda 4 (Hemasri 11th min, 39th min; Akshara 26th min, 58th min) beat Ranga Reddy 0.
