The Indian Under-20 women’s team suffered a 0-6 defeat against the senior side of Swedish top-flight club Hammarby IF in a friendly match at the Hammarby Sports Ground in Stockholm, Sweden, on Thursday.
It was the Young Tigresses’ first friendly match of their Sweden tour. Hammarby, the former Swedish champions, scored in the 16th, 22nd, 53rd, 59th, 77th and 85th minutes.
The Young Tigresses will play three more friendlies in the coming days, against Täby FK on February 22, Enskede IK Dam on February 25, and Karlbergs BK on February 28, as part of their preparations for April’s AFC Under-20 Women’s Asian Cup in Thailand.
