Govt College of Physical Education, Domalguda, emerge OU kho-kho champions

Govt College of Physical Education, Domalguda, emerged champions in the Osmania University Inter College Kho-Kho Championships for Men. In what turned out to be a thrilling final, Govt College of Physical Education, Domalguda, prevailed over Siddartha College of Physical Education, Ibrahimpatnam by a solitary point.

Govt College of Physical Education, Domalguda, scored a 9-8 victory over Siddartha College of Physical Education, Ibrahimpatnam, to be crowned champions for this season. Madhu, Arvind, Goutham and Sachin played well for Govt College of Physical Education. Praveen and Ganesh were the star performers for Siddartha College.

AV College claim third place

In the third-place play-off, hosts AV College scored a comfortable 9-6 win over Govt City College. Janiki, Srinath and Narasimha did the star turn for AV College.

Vasavi College of Engineering emerge Osmania University chess champions

Prof Rajesh Kumar, dean, Faculty of Education, OU, Dr Rajalingam, principal, A.V. College, and Shailender, philanthropist, distributed the prizes. Dr Ramavath Prakash, organising secretary, welcome the gathering. The tournament was conducted by AV College from February 20 to 22.

Results (final): Govt College of Physical Education, Domalguda, beat Siddartha College of Physical Education, Ibrahimpatnam, 9-8. Third Place: A V College beat Govt City College 9-6.
