DRC Sports Foundation scored a thumping 5-1 win over Falcons Pickleball Club in their seventh-round match of the HPL Clubs pickleball championship at Cross Court Sports, Vattinagulapalli, Gandipet, Hyderabad.
The win has pushed DRC Sports Foundation to the second position on the table with 6 wins and 1 loss. SOO Collective are leading the table with seven wins and a loss in Conference A. 48 Pickleball Club are in the third position despite having the same points as DRC Sports Foundation.
DRCSF Pickleball Club with this win maintained the top position in Conference A. Leaving behind 48 Pickleball Club and SOO Collective who are with equal points, but DRCSF are in the top with more games won.
In the first men’s doubles, Falcons took an early lead of 7-2 but DRC’s Vijay Anand and Manoj came back strong with attacking strokes to take an 8-7 lead when the teams changed the sides. Dharanidhar Reddy and Praneeth Penmatcha kept fighting till the last, but DRCSF won the tie 15-11.
In the women’s doubles, Diya Mattipati and Sanjana Sirimalla got off to a flying start as they raced to 9-2 in quick time. However, Shalini Rimmalapudi and Nayanika Reddy rallied brilliantly to stun the DRC pair. Falcons won the tie 15-13 to get back into the match.
In the men’s singles, Vijay Anand played aggressive strokes to dominate and made the most from Vishwas’ lose shots. In the players’ transfer Vishwa was released from Racket Garden Pickleball Club to Falcons. Last time these two met, Vishwa had defeated Vijay Anand but this time around, Vijay Anand got his revenge.
In the women’s singles, Sanjana Sirimalla made light work to overcome Ashritha Raju to give DRCSF a 3-1 lead.
In the crucial second men’s doubles, DRC Kiron and Rajeev Reddy won in a nail-biting finish over seasoned players Krishna Sai Vemuri and Sandeep Rimmalapudi. Falcons made a steady start from the beginning to take a lead of 5-2 and then 8-6 in the first half. From then on Rajeev’s volleys and Kiron’s resets made Falcons lose control over the rallies and the match.
With a 4-1 lead in the encounter, DRC Sports Foundation took charge from the early stage in the mixed doubles match and steadily closed the match as Diya Mattipati and K Manoj Kumar Reddy won 15-5.
DRC SF will compete against Paddock Pickleball Club in the 8th contest at the HPL Club League Conference A and the last home match at Ready Set Pickleball Arena near Durgam Cheruvu.

DRC Sports Foundation down 48 Pickleball Club 5-1
In the sixth-round match, DRC Sports Foundation had dethroned table toppers 48 Pickle Ball Club after scoring a resounding 5-1 win at the 48 Pickleball Park, Serilingampalli, Hyderabad.
The first match of the tie which was the men’s doubles, the 48 Pickleball Club pair of M Theertha Shashank and Prajwal Reddy Patlolla did not turn up. Hence, the DRC Sports Foundation duo K Manoj Kumar Reddy and ND Vijay Anand were awarded the match with 15-0 scoreline.
After that it was DRC Sports Foundation all the way except the second men’s doubles. The DRC players swept all the other games to put their side on the top. Mahesh Reddy and DRC Kiron lost to Satwick Vinta and Abhishek Yalagani 6-15 for the only blemish on a near perfect day.
48 Pickleball Club had been leading the table since the start of the season but this loss pushed them down the table with DRC Sports Foundation temporarily occupying the top spot.

DRC Sports Foundation get the better of Penguin
In the fifth-round match, DRC Sports Foundation defeated Penguin Pickleball Club 4-2 to continue with their winning ways. Barring the first loss in the opening encounter, DRC Sports Foundation have been steamrolling past the other teams in the championship.
At the Ready Set Pickeball, Durgam Cheruvu, Hyderabad, DRC Sports Foundation made a good start in the first men’s doubles match as K Manoj Kumar Reddy and ND Vijay Anand took an early 5-1 lead but the Penguins’ pair Dhanush and Prajeeth Reddy fought back to bridge the gap to 4-5. DRC kept the momentum going and rushed to a 10-5 lead but, thereafter, it was the Penguins who dictated the terms. Dhanush and Prajeeth win 15-13 to take the match.
In the men’s singles ND Vijay Anand showed his tennis skills and fitness to get past south paw Vikram Lagadapati in a hard-fought victory to help DRC take a 2-1 lead.
The only other tie that DRC Sports Foundation lost was the mixed doubles as Diya Mattipati and K Manoj Kumar Reddy lost to Anmisha Reddy and Dhanush 13-15.
