Dheeraj, Tanay, Nitish, Shrey, Rishab, Mickil and Ashwad shine in HCA A Division League

M Dheeraj Rao bowled R Dayanand to a six-wicket win over Gemini Friends with a day to spare on the first day of the third-round matches in the HCA A Division (2-day) League Championship in Hyderabad on Monday.

Batting first, Gemini Friends were all at sea against Dheeraj Rao and folded up for a paltry 124. Dheeraj finished with figures of six for 29.

In reply, R Dayanand made 125 for four with T Ravi Teja scoring an unbeaten 50. The match lasted only 71.1 overs.

SBI crash to another loss

State Bank of India crashed to yet another embarrassing loss as they went down to Sporting XI. This is their second consecutive loss.

Tanay Thyagarajann ripped the SBI batting order as he claimed five for 14 in eight overs. SBI were bundled out for a lowly 133. In reply, Sporting XI made 136 for five with Yash Stawalekar scoring 52.

Nitish lone centurion, Shrey misses mark by three runs

P Nitish Reddy was the lone centurion in the A Division on Monday. He struck a handsome 107 off 112 balls with 11 fours and four sixes as Deccan Wanderers made 246 for three in just 37 overs against Central Excise.

Rishab Baslas

Shrey Singh missed out on a century by three runs as Charminar scored a commanding 308 against EMCC. Shrey made 97 and Bhavesh Seth scored 88. Spinner Rishab Baslas took six for 59 to restrict the Charminar total.

In reply, EMCC were strongly placed at 107 for one with P Aman Rao batting on 52 and A Avanish Rao on 41.

Ashwad Rajiv took five wickets to restrict Cambridge XI to a modest score.

Batting first, Cambridge XI were bowled out for 256 with Aashlesh Vaman scoring 73. Ashwad bagged five for 52 for Imperial, who were 18 for no loss at stumps.

Mickil Jaiswal

Mickil Jaiswal bagged five wickets as Combined District-2 were bowled out ofr 230. Mickil finished with figures of five for 43 for MP Colts.

The first day’s play in the AOC vs Evergreen and SCRSA vs Deccan Chronicle matches were called off due to wet ground conditions.
