The race to qualify for the PSA Squash Tour Finals 2025-26 is getting hotter as World No.5 Victor Crouin, World No.3 Diego Elias and World No.11 Amanda Sobhy are among the major movers this week.

After capturing the biggest title of his career at the Texas Open, French No.1 Crouin has firmly established himself in the men’s top four spots, overtaking Youssef Ibrahim and sitting just 600 points behind Karim Gawad in third place.

Meanwhile, the player he defeated in the final of the Gold-level event, Diego Elias, has continued his climb up the leaderboard following his return from injury. The 2024 World Champion was forced to sit out the whole of the first half of the season after sustaining a knee injury at the season-opening CIB Egyptian Open but has begun to accumulate points on a consistent basis since the turn of the year.

In the latest standings, his runner-up finish in Texas sees Elias climb four spots and move into the top eight automatic qualifying spots.

Elsewhere in the men’s standings, Marwan ElShorbagy has moved up two positions, while a group of players, including Mohamad Zakaria, Jonah Bryant, Mohamed ElShorbagy and Joel Makin, are all battling it out for the final qualifying spot, as it stands.

In the women’s standings, Cincinnati Gaynor Cup champion Amanda Sobhy has moved to the cusp of the automatic top eight qualification spots following her title victory at the Silver-level event. The American has risen two spots to sit in ninth, with the runner-up up in Cincinnati Georgina Kennedy, climbing three spots as well.

World No.3 Amina Orfi remains at the top of the women’s leaderboard following her stellar season to date, while USA’s Marina Stefanoni has also made significant gains into the top 16 following her semi-final finish at the Texas Open.

To qualify for the PSA Squash Tour Finals, players must win a prestigious Diamond title, whilst the reigning World Champions also qualify automatically. Any remaining places are allocated to the players who fill out the top eight spots in the Road to Tour Finals standings, with points on offer at all PSA World Events during the season.

So far, both Asal and El Hammamy have qualified for the season-ending event after capturing the Diamond-level CIB Egyptian Open titles earlier this season.
