Confident Sreenidi Deccan FC set for away test against debutants Chanmari FC

After securing a win in their opening match of the season, Sreenidi Deccan FC are set to take on another debutant of the Indian Football League, Chanmari FC. The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 pm at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl.

The Deccan Warriors head into the fixture after securing a crucial 1–0 away victory against Diamond Harbour FC in their season opener. Meanwhile, Chanmari FC played out a goalless draw against Gokulam Kerala FC in their first match of the Indian Football League 2025–26 campaign.

Speaking ahead of the match, head coach Carlos Vaz Pinto said, “Chanmari played a strong game in their previous match against a tough opponent, and we are expecting a similarly challenging encounter tomorrow. The league is very competitive, and the level among the teams is very similar, so we expect nothing less than a tough contest.”

Veteran Mizo midfielder Brandon Vanlalremdika also shared his thoughts ahead of the clash, saying, “Being a newly promoted team, Chanmari will be very motivated. They showed the quality they possess in their first game, but as a team we are ready and we are here on a mission to secure three important points.”
