The Asmita Khelo India Women’s Wushu League – Hyderabad District was held at Springfields School, Tolichowki, Hyderabad, with enthusiastic participation and support from the sporting community.
The Asmita Khelo India Women’s Wushu League aims to provide women athletes with a platform to demonstrate their talent, gain competitive experience and progress towards higher levels of sporting excellence.
The programme was inaugurated by Faraz Uddin, ex-corporator, Shaikpet Division, in the presence of distinguished guests and sports personalities.
Humera Hyder, senior principal, Springfields Education, graced the occasion. Dr Venkateswary was also present and extended her support to the event.
Senior officials and representatives of the Wushu fraternity attended the programme, including SR Prem Raj, president, Amateur Wushu Association, and Model Abdul Qureshi, general secretary, AWOA.
B Jagannath Swamy, former international Kabaddi player, also attended the function and encouraged the participants.
The event was organised by Md Faisal, Sports Authority of Telangana, who coordinated the programme with the support of the Wushu fraternity and the host institution.
The organisers expressed their gratitude to the guests, officials, coaches, athletes, parents and Springfields School for their valuable support in making the event successful.
