M Arvind Kumar’s six-wicket haul set up Ours seven-wicket win over MP Blues in the HCA’s B Division T20 tournament in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Batting first, MP Blues were all at sea against Arvind and could manage to reach 165 in 19.4 overs. Somasani Raju struck 78 and Syed Hidayath Hussain got 44 but the rest of the cast failed to counter the Ours bowlers. Arvind finished with figures of six for 24 in 3.4 overs.
In reply, Ours cruised to 167 for three in 19.1 overs with Sabavath Akhil hammering an unbeaten 85 and Koushik P getting 50.
Lalith Reddy bowled Nizamabad District to a 109-run win over Concorde.
Nizamabad District, batting first, ran up a competitive 218 for seven with Vikranth Reddy getting 69 of those. P Lalith Reddy took three for 27 for Concorde.
In reply, Concorde were bamboozled by Lalith Reddy and they were bowled out for 109 in 18.3 overs. Lalith took five for 17 in 3.3 overs.
Manikiran’s 96 helps Nalgonda down Future Stars by four runs
Adi Manikiran fell four short of a century but his knock ensured a narrow four-run win for Nalgonda District over Future Stars. Manikiran was out for 96 and P Sainath made 64 as Nalgonda ran up 209 for eight. B Thejodhaur took five for 36 for Future Stars.
Future Stars fought valiantly but could reach 205 for five only with Aditya Malhotra making 63 and M Sai Prateek remaining unbeaten on 58. N Ravinder took three for 32 for the winners.
Ved Hari took four for 37 but Mahadev crashed to a four-wicket loss to Khalsa.
