Telangana’s Hasini Reddy won the Under-16 girls’ singles title at the 10th National Deaf Sub-Junior Badminton Tournament in Chandigarh this week.
Hasini also teamed up with Arman to claim the bronze medal in the mixed doubles category.
In the girls’ singles final, Hasini Reddy defeated Kavya of Chhattisgarh in straight games 21-16, 21-11.
Kavya put up a fight in the first game, but Hasini managed to pull off a win. In the second game, Hasini brooked no challenge as she romped home with ease.
Hasini, who trains at the Indian Badminton Academy under the tutelage of coach Sumeeth Reddy, also won the bronze medal in the mixed doubles category. Hasini and Aman
