Indian long-distance runner Uma Marepally delivered an impressive performance at the IAU 50 km World Championships, finishing 15th place in the women’s 50 km race with a timing of 3 hours 38 minutes 18 seconds.

The championship, held in New Delhi, brought together elite ultramarathon athletes from across the world to compete in one of the most demanding long-distance road running events.

Training under Dr GV Subbarao at the Sports Authority of India, Hyderabad, Uma maintained a steady and disciplined pace throughout the race.

She successfully completed the challenging 50 km ultramarathon in 3:38:18, demonstrating remarkable endurance, determination, and competitive spirit against a strong international field.
